The questions we get most.
A few of the things people ask before they apply. If yours isn’t here, write to us — we’d rather have a real conversation.
What is Chemistry?
Chemistry is India’s 1st experiential matchmaking platform. We’re a small, invite-only community for people who want to meet someone in real life — not swipe forever.
How is this different from a dating app?
No infinite feed, no swiping, no chat-and-ghost. You apply, we verify, we get to know you, and we curate a single thoughtful match and a real-world date for you. You just show up.
Who can apply?
Adults (18+) who are serious about dating and based in a city we currently operate in. We’re selective on intent — not on looks, income, or background.
How does the matching work?
After your application and verification, you complete a psychometric questionnaire and a short video intro. Our team combines that with our AI persona model to find a match we genuinely believe in.
How are you keeping the community safe?
Every member is identity, video, and social-media verified. We don’t allow anonymity. Bad behaviour leads to immediate removal. For more on this, see our Trust page.
What does the date look like?
We curate the date for you — the place, the time, the vibe — based on what we’ve learned about you and your match. All you have to do is show up.
How much does it cost?
We’re finalising membership pricing for launch. Cost will always be transparent and disclosed before you commit.
What if I don’t like my match?
That’s okay. We learn from every date — what worked, what didn’t — and use it to make the next match better. This is matchmaking, not a vending machine.
Where do you operate?
We’re starting in Bombay and expanding to other Indian metros shortly. If you’re elsewhere, apply anyway — we’ll let you know when we arrive.
How do I get in touch?
Write to us at anjali.anilmishra099@gmail.com — a real person reads every email.
These are placeholder answers written in our voice. We’ll refine them as the community grows.
